GLOBELLE was the title of the LCF graduate Nelly Rose’s latest collection, named after the collaboration with textiles workers around the world. The series shows beading, embroidery and weaving techniques from collaborations with hand-workers in Guatemala, prints created alongside calligraphy students in Japan, and cross-stitching with Women in Hebron, Palestine. With activist Glacier Girl among those modelling, this presentation was one that inspired a change towards a slower fashion, achieved through celebrating collective female talent and artisan production.
